Fake News Exhibition

From 5 July to 15 September 2023, the Alliance Francaise of Adelaide will present 'Fake News', an exhibition produced by Poster for Tomorrow, with the support of the Institut Francais, the French Embassy in Australia and the universities of Adelaide.

'Fake News' is an exhibition that reflects on the power of spreading fake and misleading information. Graphic designers from around the world have designed posters reflecting on media, social media, misinformation and its consequences. 30 posters will be displayed at the universities of Adelaide, inviting you to reflect on this theme.

With the evergrowing use of social media, we are now constantly given global news and information - how do we detect which are true and which are not? Traditional media now have to face a constant flood of information online, from various sources. This exhibition reflects on the impact this has on public opinion, how these Fake News are used by various personalities and politicians.

Discover the top 10 posters selected by Poster for Tomorrow!

Fake News will be presented at the University of South Australia (4 to 31 July), the University of Adelaide (18 to 31 August @ The Hub) and Flinders University (1 to 15 September @ Studio 2, next to Grind & Press coffee shop).

Exhibition is free of entry and open at universities opening times!
